Heather MacNeill is a professional pet photographer, pet videographer, and digital educator. With a BA in Film Production and over a decade working in the camera departments of "Hollywood North" in Vancouver, Canada, she began Rambling Hound Photography in 2016. As RHP evolved over the years it officially became Rambling Hound Media in 2023 to better reflect its growing services and resources for both pet owners and pet businesses.

Heather is the founder of the West Coast Pet Collective, an online community that brings together pet professionals in the Greater Vancouver area and strives to empower small business owners of all pet industry types to improve their marketing and grow their businesses through creative solutions.

Giving back has been core to every aspect of her business since day one. From working as a volunteer photographer for local pet rescues to donating trees for every product sold through Rambling Hound, her philosophy in life has always been to try to be the best darn human you can be, while advocating kindness and compassion. And luckily over the years, her business has allowed her to be surrounded by a tribe of animal-loving folks who feel just as passionate.

When not running through the woods with a camera in hand, you can find her in the water on her paddleboard or planning her next travel adventure. She has a voracious appetite for learning new skills and thrives on challenging herself a little every day. Yoga is her therapy and her ride-or-die rescue cat, WILDER, inspires her creative journey every. single. day.
