Rescue Feature: CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited out to an adoption event held by CROSS OUR PAWS RESCUE in North Vancouver. In combination with my June Photo Special: "Dog Days of Summer! Sessions" benefitting this amazing organization, I wanted to get a few photos to help promote the offer throughout the month. What I found were a phenomenal group of dedicated volunteers and pet foster parents who clearly love what they do, demonstrating the unique perseverance and patience it requires to bring out the very best in every dog no matter how challenging.
As their website explains in more detail, CROSS OUR PAWS volunteers often take in dogs who need a little more help in the training department and work with them one on one to help develop their skills and give them a better chance at finding a forever home. I got to see this first hand as Bonnie helped "Teddy" (AKA Brady) the German Shepherd/Husky mix, brush up on some training as I arrived. As some have had some tough histories, they also provide all of the necessary vet care to get these pups back on their feet so that they can enjoy the healthy lives all animals deserve.
